Camp Pembroke, www.camppembroke.org, opened in 1935 as a non-profit Jewish cultural camp for girls, ages 8 to 15. Camp Tevya, www.camptevya.org, followed in 1940 and Camp Tel Noar, www.camptelnoar.org, in 1945 also as non-profit Jewish cultural camps for boys and girls, ages 8 to 15. Our campers and staff come a broad spectrum of Jewish backgrounds and observance; however, gather each summer to create engaging communities, to develop life-long friendships, and to contribute to the legacy of their camps. As you will see, each camp reflects their unique personalities as viewed on their Facebook pages: https://www.facebook.com/camppembroke, https://www.facebook.com/camptelnoar, https://www.facebook.com/camptevya.
Our campers take part in a variety of activity programs including athletics, arts & crafts, campcraft/nature, visual & performing arts, water sports, special events, trips, and inter-camp games; In addition, our campers attend Jewish culture, shira, and rikud during the week, culminating in celebration of Shabbat, which rocks with song, dance, and ru’ach!
