Summer Camp Counselors

CYO Camp located in the Pacific Redwood groves of west Sonoma County (70 miles from San Francisco) nestled near the town of Occidental, Ca. is looking for Summer Camp Staff for our upcoming 62nd summer camp season. This is an exciting opportunity to have fun, be a mentor, educator, gain valuable experience and make a lasting impact in the lives of Bay Area youth, while calling one of California’s most unique ecosystems your classroom and home. The CYO facility consist of 216 acres of meadows and forest, a canoeing lake, an established garden, team building centers as well as traditional camp activities.

Duration of Employment: Start date is June 16, 2008 and employment end dates are July 31, 2008 or August 16, 2008, depending on availability and camp session needs.


CYO Camp Village Lead Counselors


The CYO Summer Camp Village Lead Counselor is supervisory role responsible for monitoring, leading and supervising all counselors and campers within the assigned village. Additionally, the Village Lead Counselor coordinates and implements all aspects of the CYO Camp curriculum. She/He is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, positive, caring and playful environment for their assigned village. Must be at least 21 years of age or must have at least one year experience working with children and supervising peers.
