Camp Timberwolf is an exciting, outdoor adventure/teepee camping program for children 6-12 years old with learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder and similar behavioral challenges. The focus of our camp is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment to foster the child's emotional growth and assist in developing their socilization skills. We offer small group sessions to optimize individual attention for each child and maintain low camper to staff ratio. Children enjoy a variety of outdoor and nature activities including field trips to Sliding Rock, Pisgah National Forest, Graveyard Fields on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Western North Carolina Nature Center, Cradle of Forestry, and more. Campers participate in stream exploration, dam building, wolf den building, caring for animals, gardening, make their own bamboo fishing poles, water fun, rope swing into a lake, kayak, canoe, and arts and crafts. Evening campfires and storytelling are a favorite!
