ARTScape & Teen Arts classes are taught by The Harlem School of the Arts' faculty, many of whom are professional artists currently working in their chosen fields. Field trips further enhance children's exposure to the arts. ARTScape campers will visit The Lucille Lortel Theater to see a new musical, the Children's Museum of Manhattan, the Bronx Zoo, The New York Hall of Science, South Street Seaport and more.
Children engage in community service by creating handmade cards for seniors or helping to maintain the gardens in Riverside Park. Counselors are graduate, college-age or college-bound students who have experience working with children and a love of the arts. Many of our counselors are musicians, dancers, actors and visual artists.
