More About Camp
Cub Creek Science Camp offers one of the finest summer programs for youth between the ages of 7 - 17 in the Midwest. With over 250 animals of more than 90 differnt species, our campers have more hand-on opportunities to learn about animals than any other camp, anywhere! Every camper is sure to have a spectacular summer experience! All of our program focus on curiosity guided learning, with an emphasis on animals, science and nature study.
At Cub Creek Science Camp campers spend a week at a traditional residential camp, doing all the things you would expect from a camp; swimming, hiking, exploring, roasting marshmallows over a camp fire and making arts and crafts, all while learning about how and why thing work the way they do. (SCIENCE) Campers explore those things that interest them the most. We offer more than 100 activity choices each week, with our "Adopt an Animal Program" high among the favorites.
Camp takes place at Bear River Ranch in Rolla, Missouri (near the center of the state). The Ranch offers air-conditioned cabins, dining hall, animal class room, two free flight aviaries, two animal barns, swimming pool, archery range, internet cafe and hundreds of acres of beautiful Ozarks forest to learn about and explore.
Our more than 250 animals include; kittens, puppies, ferrets, chinchillas, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, degu, llamas, miniture donkey, parrots, cockatoo, conures, parakeets, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, emus and even wallaby (small kangaroo) plus many many more.
Our Summer programs runs from the beginning of June through the end of July. One - four week stays are available.
