BB Camp is located on Town Island on Lake of the Woods, in Kenora, Ontario, approximately 2 1/2 hours east of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The Camp offers both residential and day camp programs in a beautiful outdoor wilderness settings
The Camp is an accredited member of the Manitoba Camping Association and associated with the JCC movement. It is now entering its 62nd season of operation. The Camp attracts campers from Manitoba, and from other Canadian and US cities. There is approximately 100 staff from Canada, US and abroad working at BB Camp. Staff to camper ratios are small to ensure campers are well supervised and receive ongoing attention. BB Camp offers unique wilderness four week canoe trips for its 15 year old campers and a six week leadership training program for its 16 year old campers. Program sessions range from four days to three weeks for campers between the ages of eight - 14 years. Programs are designed to offer campers an opportunity for short term engagements and as they age, extend the length of their participation.
Our non-denominational day camp attracts up to 60 campers per week between the ages of 4 - 13 years. The program is from 9:00 - 4:00 pm, Monday- Friday and we offer pre-care beginning at 8:30 am and after care from 4:00 - 5:00pm to those families requiring additional child care support. There are six sessions with a choice of three days or five days. Campers are engaged in a range of activities and a cook-out lunch experience weekly. A new CIT program is being introduced this summer for 13 - 15 year olds to provide advanced leadership training.
BB Camp offers both outdoor education programs to school groups and other users during the months of May and June and rental opportunities during June, portions of July and mid to late August. The Camp also offers a two night/three day family camp, typically the third weekend in June.
