The C.W. Post Summer Day Camp is very excited for our 2012 camping season! The success of our campers is centered on age-specific groups, highly trained and motivated staff and our wide variety of activities. The campers will spend the day rotating to different
program areas with their group. Some of our programs areas are, but not limited to sports,
cooking, music, arts & crafts, drama, computers, environmental studies and team building
activities. During these activities, the campers will receive a higher level of knowledge within the specific program area. All program areas will be age appropriate and adaptable for every camper to participate.
Arts and Crafts: Campers will create traditional handicraft projects.
Computers: Classes are held in our high tech computer labs to discover internet safety and computer and program knowledge.
Cooking: Campers will create fun and healthy foods in our state-of-the-art cooking lab.
Dance: Campers will boogie down to the latest moves and grooves.
Drama: Campers will use their imaginations to create and portray different characters and emotions.
Game Room: *NEW* to our Summer Camp, the game room will have board and table games for the campers to develop their critical thinking skills while engaging them in the spirit of competition.
Music: Our young artists will show off their vocal and instrumental talents in our air conditioned classroom.
Nature: Campers will learn about the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, and other features and products of the earth on our scenic walking trails.
Sports: Campers will experience the thrill of competition, teamwork and sportsmanship through traditional and unique games on the campus’ grassy playing fields.
Swimming: Campers will get to cool off in our gorgeous indoor swimming pool while also learning about water safety with the help of our professional lifeguards.
Lunch is scheduled for the entire camp to eat together and is a great time to relax
and socialize with new and old friends. A snack and juice are provided as well.
Meals are varied day-to-day and plentiful. Each meal is served buffet style and
has several choices, always including vegetarian selections. We can accommodate
most special needs such as food allergies.
We also provide an aftercamp program, which is an extension of our day camp. During
this time campers will engage in camp activities such as arts and crafts, computers,
new games, land sports and more.
