Children ages 6-14 who are from low income families attend the camp free of charge for a one-week session. However, children from moderate income families may attend camp for a nominal fee.

More About Camp
Camp Happy Valley is owned and operated by The Salvation Army of Charleston and is located minutes from I-64 in beautiful Teays Valley on 167 acres of mountains, rolling hills, woods and open fields. From June until August, children participate in hiking, swimming, boating, ropes course, fishing, biking, basketball, crafts, nature study, archery and Bible lessons. Children's parents or guardians can send an e-mail that will be delivered to the child on the Thursday morning they are at camp. The camping facilities and setting at Camp Happy Valley is ideal for meetings, workshops, retreats, reunions and other related activities.
