More About Camp
Camp Pennacook is located in Rowley, MA on 200 acres of meadowland and forest, with a pool, indoor craft area, archery range, and playing field. There are designated units for camper age levels with picnic tables and shelter, a fire circle and adjacent bathrooms. For 41 years girls ages 6 –16 have spent their summers here, swimming, making new friends, and singing around the campfire.
At camp girls plan their daily schedule, take part in special events and theme week activities, and are encouraged to try something new every day. As a result, girls gain confidence, build self-esteem, leadership skills and independence.
Girls will explore drama, create artwork to take home, and produce a presentation for their parents at Final Flag on Friday. Our nature staff lead girls in exploring ecology and wildlife of our camp, which has a stream, a meadow, and lots of forest.
Our highly trained, certified staff provide campers with swimming instruction and free swim time in our on-site swimming pool. Special events at camp often use the pool for relay races and games for extra swim time.
Every girl will have an opportunity to try outdoor cooking, tent pitching, and orienteering skills.
Organized games are played daily, as well as unit challenges and competitions. Archery is offered to girls 9 years old and older.
