Ramapo provides a safe, predictable, and highly structured environment which fosters the development of positive social and learning skills. A particular strength of Ramapo is its one-to-one staff-to-child ratio.
Based on our 250-acre campus in Rhinebeck, New York, Camp Ramapo is Ramapo for Children’s residential summer camp that serves children ages 6-16 who are affected by social, emotional, or learning challenges, including children on the autism spectrum.
Camp Ramapo provides a traditional summer camp experience for children who have difficulty building and maintaining healthy relationships with peers and adults and would struggle in a less supportive setting. All of Camp Ramapo’s programming is carefully structured to help children with special needs learn to live within a group, form healthy friendships, make good choices, overcome obstacles, develop self-confidence, and experience success. Camp Ramapo offers a one-to-one staff-to-camper ratio.
