• Category: Co-ed Residential Traditional Camps

• Leadership Program Grades 10-11

• Cost - $9,000 (full season) or $5750 (half season)
• No extra costs for trip, canteen, pocket money, bus rides, etc

Camp Description:

Located in the beautiful foothills of the Berkshires, Camp Schodack offers an active summer experience for our 135 boys and 135 girls. Known for our warmth, tradition and spirit, new campers quickly feel "at home". Schodack has been family-owned and operated since its creation, and “Paul and the head staff know each child personally. We have a large, caring and well-trained staff of 140 counselors, many of whom were campers at Schodack themselves.
What you need to know:

• 2:1 camper to staff ratio
• 3 or 4 bunk staff per bunk
• 85%+ bunk staff are former Schodack campers
• 3.5 and 7 week sessions
• Daily mixture of structure (6 required periods) and choice (3 periods)
• Excellent sports instruction and athletic facilities
• We keep camp simple (limited electronics, no video games, cell phones, etc)
• Bully free – an amazingly friendly place

Diverse Program:

• Horseback Riding (no extra fee)
• 2 heated pools
• Waterskiing on a private 175 acre lake
• Go Karts
• 40-foot climbing tower, 300 yd zip-line, high/low ropes course
• All traditional activities (see list below)
• Optional cultural trips
• Weekly all-camp trips
• Optional competitions and tournaments in all sports

Activities taught:

Archery, Arts & Crafts, basketball, baseball, ceramics, climbing tower, dance, drawing, golf, gymnastics hiking and backpacking, hockey, horseback riding, golf, knee boarding, lacrosse, model rocketry, painting, photography, rock climbing and rappelling, ropes (low and high), soccer, softball, swim, tennis, theatre and acting, volleyball, wakeboarding, waterskiing, whitewater rafting and kayaking, woodworking, yoga.
