Camp Tapawingo is of Girl Scouts of Central Illinois camps, located on 640 acres of forested rolling hills, with a small canoe pond, a new horse barn/arena, a brand-new challenge course with rock walls and high and low elements, a modern dining/activity lodge and rustic living units.
The living units (Setting Sun, White Cloud and Shining Star) have a unit house and platform tents. The unit houses are all equipped with a kitchen with cooking equipment, fireplaces, electricity, and tables/chairs for activities. Camper stay in the 3 or 4 person platform tents.
Camp Tapawingo's many activities include team building on our high and low ropes courses, test your aim on our archery range or take a relaxing ride through the property on horseback. A small paddling lake can be explored in a canoe. Exploring hiking trails that wind throughout the property.
Camp is both ACA accredited as well as CHA.
