Morning Session: Touchstone Bootcamp Basics
July 17-28, 9:00 –12:00
The Morning Session uses theatre exercises, games and improvisations to encourage creative exploration, both as individuals and as members of a group. Participants gain confidence in expressing ideas while building skills in speaking, acting, movement, and listening and responding to others. Instructors teach new techniques, while encouraging campers to build on existing strengths and natural abilities. Morning Session participants will join the Afternoon Session for the final performance.
Afternoon Session: Have I Got a Story for You!
July 17 – 28, 1:00 – 4:00
The Afternoon session will focus on stories big and small, and all the different ways we have to share them. Using bodies, voices and imaginations, participants will be guided in the creation of characters both familiar and fantastic. Besides physical movement and vocal technique, characters will be built using puppetry, mask-making, and improvisation. The camp culminates in an adaptation of a familiar tale performed for family and friends.
