Cardigan Summer Session offers both 3 and 6 week programs for children ages 8-15. Not a traditional camp or a traditional academic summer school; we provide the perfect balance between academic enrichment, personal development, and summertime fun.
Set on Canaan Street Lake near both the White Mountains and Dartmouth College, the Cardigan Mountain School Summer Session program offers boys and girls ages 8-15 opportunities for academic and social enrichment. Our program is unique as it offers a broad range of academic courses, outdoor activities, and evening programs with a focus on community life and character development. It is the perfect balance between authentic lifelong learning experiences and summertime fun. During our five-period academic day, students can choose to work in some needed review, push themselves with an enrichment course, try out a new interest, and both study and practice essential skills to make their efforts in school more efficient and effective. Our afternoons, nights, and weekends are filled with activities, trips, and presenters to let our students just be kids while constantly providing guidance in social and character development. Our promise to our families is: we will help improve essential academic and social skills such as self-advocacy, organization, independence, confidence, application of knowledge, and finding joy in learning. Our promise to our students is: you are going to leave with new friends and a smile on your face.
