During the week long camp, our campers learn about two disciplines of riding, English and Western. We teach horse behavior and horse care in a fun and safe environment. Our goals are safety first, and then having fun while learning.
Crazy for Horses Kids Camp is a one-week day camp.
7A -10A, Monday thru Friday
Participants spend the first part of each day on horseback. The rest of the time is spent learning about horse behavior. We explore equine language and behavior, how to interpret what the horse is thinking, horse care and grooming, anatomy of the horse, and various colors and breeds of horses.
Western riding is introduced on the first day and English riding is introduced on the second day. Participants then get to choose which style they prefer to ride for the rest of the week. For those who don’t own any “horseback riding gear”, we supply helmets and boots for loan in many different sizes and styles.
We offer crafts, trail rides, and games on horseback. Our experienced and enthusiastic staff offers the highest quality instruction with a practical focus on safety first. The emphasis is always centered on building a safe and positive relationship between the horse and rider.
We LOVE horses- and we know you will too!
