With 1300 gardens and small urban farms Detroit has become a hub of Urban Agriculture. As Detroit struggles to downsize and re-create itself Detroiters have responded by creating new spaces and new land uses. In the process Detroiters have learned a lot about Urban Sustainability. Spend 10 Days in Detroit learning about Urban Sustainability, Urban Farming, tour America's largest outdoor farmers market, small community farmers' markets, tour large outdoor art installations, art galleries, community based businesses all while learning valuable skills in Permaculture, Urban Sustainability, Guerrilla Gardening, Bio-remediation, Beneficial Indigenous Microbes that help gardens grow bigger, CSA's, Cob Building, Water Catchment Systems, Natural Plasters, Composting, and more. Attendees will work along side of Detroiters working to improve Food Security Issues, improve the overall landscape of Detroit as we work towards turning Detroit from a Rust Belt into a Green Belt city.
Detroit Urban Sustainability Training DUST will be a fun learning experience for all those who attend. For more info please call us.
