This is no ordinary camp...offering one week sessions in Voc-Tech skills, such as welding, carpentry, small engine repair, auto maintenance, cooking, and electronics as well as life skills. Each camper will participate in "no pressure" sport activities, emphasizing team work and cooperation. The Discovery Farm provides outdoors skills such as camping, fishing, stream & pond activities. Focus is on small groups and individual training for safety and to encourage youth to develop gifts and skills that will be useful for them & to help others.
Although no child will be denied enrollment due to lack of funds, there is a suggested donation of $200.00 for the week. Discovery Farm is a non-profit ministry relying on the gifts of others and campers. Instructors are all adult volunteers trained in their field of expertise and are positive role models for youth.
