Our programs are designed to help children discover the special excitement of a summer at camp. Campers are assigned to one of four groups: Pine Cones, Tall Trees, Redwoods, and Sequoias based on age and skill level.

More About Camp
Each of the four groups will enjoy a unique program directed by specialists from the Evergreen faculty and other area schools. Our program is designed to emphasize what we do best ... creating exciting opportunities to learn, play, and grow. Each group enjoys sports, swimming, field trips, picnics, and seasonal celebrations. The Yankee Doodle Dandy Parade and Evergreen Camp Carnival are among the many festive occasions that bring children and their families together for a fun-filled summer. Evergreen Camp welcomes a diverse population in the safe and nurturing setting of our school. All activities are developmentally appropriate and directed by trained teachers. We have an excellent camper/counselor ratio; two adults to the maximum of twenty children in a group. We also have the head teachers and many other key members of our staff certified in CPR and First Aid. Every individual on our staff from the Director to the CITs also have had the necessary background check from the FBI and the Maryland State Police. Evergreen Camp is also fully licensed by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene having the Youth Camp Certificate. Our air-conditioned facility allows campers to enjoy their time at camp indoors even on the warmest days. A calendar of trips and activities is available at the beginning of the summer and then is published in the weekly edition of the Evergreen Bulletin which each camper receives.
