More About Camp
Explore the rich ecosystems of the Copper River Delta and the Prince William Sound by foot, canoe, kayak and raft. Science Camp is a great time to be active and have fun in the outdoors—and learn about the amazing landscape that surrounds you. During your week at camp you'll hike through the rainforest, raft down the Copper River, explore Orca Inlet, and see glaciers up close. You might even spend an afternoon hiking on a glacier! Each day will be filled with outdoor activities and hands-on exploration of the wild inhabitants of this region, including bears, salmon, birds, beavers, moose and more! Nights will be spent at our field camp on the beautiful Copper River Delta and will be filled with fun camp activities, delicious meals, crafts and games. Programs are led by our knowledgeable and caring staff, and we often invite local scientists to share their expertise with us. Science Camps are adventurous and fun, and by the end of the week you'll be able to see for yourself that from the forest to the sea...it's all connected. We hope to see you in Summer 2009!
