Day camp
For 100 years, Girl Scout camp has been the leader in summer fun and adventure for girls. Going to Girl Scout camp can be a life-changing experience. It’s a place where girls stretch their limits and have fun in the great outdoors. There’s no better place for girls to grow as leaders than at Girl Scout camp. We have affordable day camp programs for all girls ages 6-17. You don’t have to already be a Girl Scout to join the fun. Special discounts are available for first-time campers, even those who participate in other Girl Scout activities. Each camp program is geared to the girls’ age and gives girls the unique Girl Scout Leadership Experience. You could become a digital photographer; make African tribal masks; learn the art of improv; explore the fantasy and Victorian style of steam punk; learn how to windsurf; or choose from many other themed sessions. Most camp sessions are five days per week from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Prices start at $105 and registration opens March 6. Day camps are made possible by dedicated volunteers and staff members throughout the state. If you are interested in volunteering this summer (and earning a free week at day camp for one daughter), call Kim Petau at 303-607-4647. For more, go to girlscoutsofcolorado.org.
Overnight camps
For 100 years, Girl Scout camp has been the leader in summer fun and adventure for girls at an affordable cost. We have overnight camps at even more beautiful mountain properties this year. You don’t have to already be a Girl Scout -- all new campers will receive a 10 percent discount for trying out Girl Scout camp! Going to Girl Scout camp can be a life-changing experience for girls. It’s a place where girls stretch their limits and have fun in the great outdoors. There’s no better place for girls to grow as leaders than at Girl Scout camp. Scale the rope course, fly on the zip-line, learn to ride a horse, discover the fun of science, go on a digital scavenger hunt and make friends with girls from near and far. Girls gain confidence at camp. Don’t be surprised if a girl arrives at Girl Scout camp unsure of herself and comes home with soaring confidence after she pushes her limits on the challenge course, plans a camp-wide celebration or reaches the top of a rock wall. Overnight sessions feature a wide range of facilities and activities: Lazy Acres, in the San Isabel National Forest; Meadow Mountain Ranch, in Rocky Mountain National Park; Magic Sky Ranch, northwest of Fort Collins near Red Feather Lakes; Sky High Ranch, near Woodland Park, west of Colorado Springs; and Tomahawk Ranch, one hour southwest of Denver. Transportation is available for certain sessions this summer for a $75 roundtrip fee. Sessions range from 3 days to 12 days and camp programs are available for girls ages 6 to 17. Prices start at $265. Registration opens March 6, and spots in our popular camps fill quickly. Visit girlscoutsofcolorado.org or call 1-877-404-5708.
