What better way to spend the summer than to spend it on Ensenada, Baja Mexico at Imagina Camp! Located at Ensenada Bay, just 66 miles south of San Diego, CA. (US); Imagina Camp offers campers ages 9-14 a month in the sun Sailing, Scuba Diving, Horseback riding our many trails, learning Spanish 15-20 hours per week and making new friends that will last a lifetime.
Imagina Camp is a remarkable program that has the capacity for 20 campers giving them personalize learning, being rich in tradition and encourages life-long learning and life-long relationships; Campers feel safe and free to express who they really are without fear.
Throughout the month, campers participate in a variety of activities that entertain the brain, challenge them mentally and physically while giving them a unique and once in a lifetime opportunity to connect with nature and each other. On weekends we will travel to Mountain range Juarez to the Observatory and if we are lucky and the sky is clear, we will see Mar de Cortez in one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other or to Todos Santos Island and surroundings.
Students are challenged in Spanish classes with material suited for different age groups. After class, students enjoy many outdoor activities in a controlled, safe environment. Experienced supervisors and camp counselors will modify each activity to the level appropriate for each student. As part of their homework, students will be guided to keep their own travel journal throughout the course of the trip, which they will be provided with upon their arrival to Mexico. These journals will not only serve as a tool for the students to develop their Spanish writing skills, but also allows students to reflect upon and record their experiences and discoveries on the trip.
IMAGINA is located just one block from the beach, 5 min walking distance from the Marina and 5 min driving to downtown.
Each Home stay facility of IMAGINA has 4 dorms; each has 2 bunk beds and sleep 4. Every dorm has its own bathroom and shower and there is a communal kitchen, dinning, TV room, game room, study room and several communal outdoor patio areas.
