Campers ages 4-7 enjoy a thrilling one-week launch into the world of multimedia storytelling. Kids 8-12 explore all aspects of filmmaking in a 3-week series of dynamic daylong workshops that include storyboarding, directing, special effects, costuming and make-up, watching movies, recording sound, stop-motion animation, and so much more! Teens 13-15 take part in a more advanced 3-week program, tailored to specific filmmaking disciplines. For ages 16-18, 3-week immersion programs in fiction and nonfiction filmmaking offer opportunities to participate in the entire production process, from storyboarding to shooting to editing. No experience necessary! At all levels, small groups are led by our renowned faculty and special guest instructors, assisted by trained counselors. Every session includes demonstrations, creative collaboration, and hands-on projects utilizing all the features of our state-of-the-art facility. Projects are kid-directed, so campers can build upon their skills by registering for multiple sessions. Each camp session ends in Family Friday, where families are invited to screenings of campers' finished projects. Campers will also take home a DVD of all their work. For ages 4-7, the camp day begins at 9am and ends at noon. For ages 8-15, camp sessions are 9am–4pm, with an 8am–5pm extended-day option. For ages 16-18, camp runs from noon to 7pm.
