More About Camp

From July 15-20, 2008, musicians both young and older learn together from 11 faculty drawn from SF Bay Area and Nevada County. An eventful and fun 5 days, from 9:30 AM -3:30 PM. July 15 is Faculty concert to kick off the 5 days. Student concert on the night of July 20. Pre-requisite: knowing 5 scales well, Vocalists: have 3 jazz standards prepared. Drummers and bassists, contact Bill Douglass. Patient, giving faculty. Sierra Jazz Society is the non-profit organization that produces annual Jazz Camp. It takes place at Nevada City School of the Arts, in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, about an hour East of Sacramento, California. $450 for 5 days includes lunch and faculty concert on July 15.
