This free week-long summer program, held between August 20th and 24th on the MIT Campus, introduces high school students to designing and building a solar oven. MIT undergraduates who are passionate about engineering and education will provide low cost supplies (cardboard, tape, aluminum foil) to mirror how technologies need to be adapted for international settings.
Approximately twenty students, with five MIT mentors, draft and build the oven. International development speakers will talk to students on the last day and snacks will be provided each day. Priority registration by July 25th.
