More About Camp
Mercersburg Academy Adventure Camps blend a traditional residential summer camp atmosphere with a modern school setting, enhancing the growth of every child's mind, body and spirit.
Adventure Camp's unique structure features a camper-to-counselor ratio of 3:1 and challenges campers aged 8-14 to grow and explore in a positive and encouraging environment. Campers find enrichment adventures in multimedia, visual arts, performance arts, history, and science. Campers discover adventures on the fields and courts as well, learning and playing various individual and team sports. Outdoor adventures feature mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking and orienteering, Civil War battlefield excursions, and horseback riding. Off campus adventures and trips complete the Adventure Camp experience.
Mercersburg also offers Teen Adventure Camp for ages 14-16. This program features the same focus on enriching and challenging activities, good times, and great counselors as Adventure Camp. Tailored to teens and their interests, Teen Adventure Camp includes specialization in enrichment areas, multiple outdoor activities, sessions on personal and social issues, and good old-fashioned camp fun.
In addition, Mercersburg offers Junior Adventure Camp for ages 7-8. This program features the same focus on enriching and challenging activities, good times, and great counselors as our other Adventure Camps.
Mercersburg Academy's beautiful campus serves as the base for the Mercersburg Adventure Camps.
