Each summer, over 600 students from 40 countries attend the MUN Institute to improve their leadership and public speaking skills. Students spend the week honing their Model UN abilities in order to prepare for college, career, and beyond.
In Model United Nations (MUN), students work together to solve the world’s biggest problems: war, poverty, climate change, discrimination, terrorism, cyber- security, and more. The MUN Instiute by Best Delegate teaches students public speaking, debate, negotiation, critical thinking, problem solving, research, writing, teamwork, and leadership — all valuable skills for college, career, and lifelong learning. This year, programs are running at Georgetown, Harvard, Columbia, UCLA, Berkeley, and UC Irvine.
Best Delegate offers unique programs due to our:
EXPERTISE: We are the world’s leading experts on Model United Nations,
PASSION: We are building a passionate MUN community, and
PROFESSIONALISM: We provide professional and high-quality training.
Our amazing staff is made up of experienced university-level MUN leaders, as well as full-time Best Delegate staff. We maintain a 1-to-8 staff-to-delegate ratio at each program, which allows for more personal feedback and a safer learning environment. Our programs are staffed by our Diplomacy Fellows, who are the best delegates on the college MUN circuit. Diplomacy Fellows are Secretaries General and Head Delegates from their respective universities. Past fellows have came from prestigious universities including Yale, Columbia, Cornell, Emory, Georgetown, McGill, George Washington, UC Berkeley, Boston University, and the University of Florida.
Our programs also feature prominent guest speakers who are experts in international affairs, including foreign service officers, university professors, and professionals in the non-profit sector. Last year we featured speakers from the The State Department, The United Nations Foundation, The Carter Center, and The United Nations.
