More About Camp
Language Villages at Mount Allison University
Mount Allison is offering a unique summer program this year that integrates art, drama, music, sports, and cultural activities into language education. The one-week residential camps are designed to completely immerse students in the language – Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish or Japanese – as well as the culture. Activities include calligraphy, salsa dancing, martial arts, food-making, and adapted drama games. The instructor team is made up of both native speakers and Canadians who have gone through the experience of learning the language. It will be a fun way for students to discover a new language and culture.
The Spanish and Mandarin Chinese villages will be running simultaneously from June 29th – July 4th, and the Japanese village will be held from August 10th – 15th. Students aged 10-17 are eligible, and the $500 registration fee includes all meals and accommodation on the Mount Allison campus.
