More About Camp
Future Leader Camp (FLC) is for high school students interested in further developing their leadership skills. FLC is a great opportunity for those currently participating in student government, sports teams, scouts, JROTC, Civil Air Patrol, Sea Cadets, Young Marines or any other youth leadership organization. The two-week camp is held at Norwcih University, our nation's first and oldest military college; located on 1200 acres in the rugged Green Mountains of Vermont.
The goal of FLC is to instill the basic principles of small group leadership techniques, leadership ethics, teamwork, problem solving and effective communications, with enhancing in each participants a sense of confidence, self-respect, and self-discipline.This is accomplished using a coombination of adventure training, group discussions, teamwork, physical fitness training and revolving leadership positions.
Training includes: rappelling, ropes course, climbing wall, rifle range, land navigation, wilderness & water survival, paintball, rock climbing, a short hike up Camel's Hump, a 3-day overnight Challenge Course and more.
