Gizmos and gadgets
Presented with crazy and challenging problems, campers are challenged to create gizmos and gadgets to discover innovative and exciting solutions using materials from recyclables to old electronics. Campers dismantle gadgets to figure out how things work and use ordinary household items to create new inventions. Students apply for mock patents. Inventors work as part of design teams and collaborate with their fellow inventors, keep an inventions journal, and work in teams to create hovercrafts, design burglar alarms and build contraptions to complete assigned challenges.

CANDY FACTORY
Challenge: You have inherited a Candy Factory from your long lost uncle Herbert. He has left the entire factory to you in his will. You now need to figure out what brands of candies to produce and market. The entire operation rests on your shoulders. From designing the packaging to creating the flavors and tastes of your factory, you work with your team in taste testing, development of new brands and,marketing of the candies. Along the way you will design a website to promote your brand of candies.

Mish Mash Art Camp
This course is designed to give the artist in you new opportunities to think, explore and create. You will have the opportunity touse familiar media in new ways as well as learn exciting new techniques with new materials. Projects will be both two and threedimensional.
Each session will have different activities so the art enthusiast in you can happily attend all sessions.

EcoTropolis
As the Ecotropolis City Planners, engineers, and city officials, work together to create a master plan for the city and services such as roads, water, sewage, and transportation systems.
Math, science, and art are also imbedded in the process as students learn the importance of structural components, architectural design, and proportion. Act as city officials in coming up with the financial constraints of budgeting and banking. Run campaigns to elect a Mayor and help run the city government. 
 A full week of planning and building combined with financial planning and city governance. A Kidtropolis online blog, run by the participants, will serve as the city’s electronic newspaper for the outside world.

Jr. Astronaut Camp
Design and build space suits, learn to speak “alien”, build a giant spaceship and get ready to blast off on the best journey ever. Jr. Astronauts work together to create space ships, launch actual rockets and learn about conducting experiments in space. Throughout the week we will be building a Mars Rover, creating telescopes, charting constellations practicing flight procedures and end the week with a space journey across the universe.

Wizardology
Lotions and potions and much much more. This is the most fun a young wizard in training can ask for. Not only do we get to try flying spells but we also learn about the scientific principles behind flight. Not only do we learn about potions but we also learn about how chemical reactions work. This magical journey goes from creating magical wands to creating magical potions that bubble and glow.

Crime Scene Science
Explore the world of forensic science. Learn about blood typing, fingerprint analysis and dental forensics to crack any case. Your training includes building lie detector machines and creating composite sketches. At the end of the week, use your training to secure a crime scene, gather clues and process evidence in the crime lab. A great camp full of hands-on activities for the budding detective!

Pet Vet Hospital: Jr. Veterinarians
Horses, puppies, kittens, animals galore! Examine the secrets vets use to help your furry friends. You’re the junior doctor in the Animal Clinic where you will work on learning about your animal friends as well as creating an interactive album to showcase their animal adventures. During the week we will work on creating books and writing / illustrating animal stories as well.

idig dinosaurs!
Many centuries ago the land of IDEA was homeland to scores of species of dinosaurs. Evidence of these amazing beasts can be discovered in our very own dinosaur ridge. Spend the week learning about these amazing beasts, creating fossils, learning to classify bones, digging for fossils and assembling dinosaur skeletons. Warning giant volcanoes will be erupting! All junior paleontologists welcome.

Oeey Gooey Science Xploration
Ever wonder why bread rises? why slushies do not freeze? Why the smell of apple pie makes you feel warm and cozy? What makes the ice cream freeze just right? Experience the kitchen chemistry behind your favorite foods and candies. Experiment with all sorts of slime recipes to see which ones work best. Create lotions and potions using scientific experiments. Experiment with all sorts of ingredients and create an online web log to create a journal of all your new slimy recipes and experiments.

Toy Convention
An innovative summer camp with activities that foster creative thinking, inventing and entrepreneurial enterprise by designing and creating new and futuristic toy mockups and models. During development, participants make presentations and work with their team in a variety of tasks. From idea to market including all advertising and mockups of design using recycled materials and more.


Sweet Expedition on Deck: Viva La France
Travel on your very own cruise ship to the land of francophone. Explore the art, architecture , music and language of this wonderful land as you spend a week on Cruise ship IDEA visiting this culturally rich land. French language instruction in a fun setting as we sail across to the land of France.

Wow and Wacky Mazes & Water Worx
Challenge: Solve the giant human sized maze by only turning left. Simple you say? Not quite. During this week of mazes and pathways, we will use our grey matter to plan, and build structures to solve given problems. We will build a giant structure at least 3 foot tall of only straws and rubber bands, build a suspension bridge to cross a molten lava field while enhancing eye hand coordination, fine motor skills and working memory skills. build life size mazes, work with water channels and pathways to learn about what drives water flows. A crazy building mania throughout the week.

Logically Speaking: Puzzling Predicaments
Participate in challenges and puzzles as teams and individuals in a fun non-competitive setting. Lots of puzzling scenarios that really make the grey matter rock. A great fun and challenging session where you use visual clues, puzzling perplexers, group challenges and many other resources to solve mini mysteries. Learn tricks and tips to help you solve challenging problems as we experiment with Pizza fractions, Mix Measure and Pour concoctions all while learning about mathematical uses in every day life. Participate in Logic Quests as we journey across the world in search of hidden treasures. An amazing race logic style!

Boom Splat Kaboom
Blow a volcano or two in this really cool and amazing science geared workshop. We will have fun with chemical reactions, make elephant toothpaste and learn to create our own flying frog dessert while playing catch! Learn about magic potions and tricks using various chemicals and powders. We will mix ooey gooey slime, create lip-gloss and body lotions and just have a lot of fun with science in various workshops throughout the week.
A week of fun and exciting things that go Boom, Splat or Kaboom. Can anything be more fun!
