The South Bay Music Symposium is a specialized, four-week summer program consisting of beginner, intermediate and advanced band students, drum majors and band student leaders, adult conducting and music appreciation for all agess.

Programs Offered
Adult Conducting Day—July 17 ($175)
For experienced conductors. Live ensemble practice using band repertoire
Leadership/Drum Major Camp July 10-11 ($225)
For High School Band Students wanting more leadership and conducting skills
Youth Wind Ensemble-Wed/Thur evening ($150)
For band students 14-22 years old Grade 4/5 standard repertoire music. Guest clinicians and conductors
Summer Symposium- Tues- Wed afternoons ($300)
For Band students with experience 5th-8th grade Enhance fundamentals, learn basic theory
Beginner Camp-Tues and Thurs mornings ($150)
For students who have never played a band instrument. 4th grade and up. School instruments available.
Music Appreciation- Tuesday evenings ($125)
Better appreciate music, using film music and it's influences. Designed for adults and high school students, but middle school students are welcome.
Band students will have an opportunity to be involved in the El Segundo Concert Band outdoor concert on Saturday, July 24th in the “Hollywood Quad”
Fieldtrips are planned for the Hollywood Bowl and recording studios.
