SpaceTimeKids’ Space Adventure Camps are activity-based programs that get kids energized and excited about science through space science activities and adventures. Though their main emphasis is on fun and interactivity, each program is structured around core principals of science and involves critical thinking exercises that encourage kids to challenge their understanding of the world they live in and the space that it inhabits.
Spring Break Camps at recreation centers in Parker, Brighton and Longmont (3/26-30/2012):
Space Explorers:
Get ready to explore the Final Frontier! Our Space Explorers theme takes some of the best elements from our other themes and puts them together for an all around space exploration experience. It's got rockets, planets, aliens, rovers, astronauts, space stations, meteors and much more. It's guaranteed to give kids a good taste of what space exploration is all about.
Summer Camps
Rocket Blast:
Kids get to do just about everything there is to do with rockets…short of riding one into space! Go on a wild ride into the fascinating science of rocketry and space exploration while building and launching safe, non-combustible rockets. Activities include learning about the science & history of rocketry, crafting their own SpaceTime Galactic Gliders, and launching lots of different kinds of rockets.
Space Chase:
Put on your detective's hat to solve a mystery spanning the whole solar system! Piece together clues about a strange comet headed for the sun while learning about the planets, asteroids and moons it passes along the way, and how all those things affect life here on Earth!
