More About Camp
Maintaining an atmosphere of disciplined fun, Summerstage offers creative theater and art workshops for kids Pre-K through 12th grades. Students study acting, singing, vocal production, movement, improvisation and art, combinig classic theatrical skill-building, creative thinking and group participation.
Summerstage culminates in a performance, invented by kids and faculty, featuring all students in equal measure. Summerstage staff is comprised of working New York City theater professionals who have extensive teaching experience. This carefully structured team-teaching approach enables the students to benefit from the expertise of a highly skilled and enthusiastic group of teaching artists, providing activities where the student's own imagination is cultivated, honored and expanded.
