We will learn how to integrate these practices into Creative Character Movement and Stage Combat.

Theatre
This class will prepare each student to perform a Mini-theatrical production at the end of the summer program. We will develop the characters in class, but the student will be expected to memorize the script and role given to them in there own time. Theater terminology, voice quality and blocking will be explored and practiced.

Voice
Students will be introduced to the basic components behind proper vocal technique. Using a variety of exercises, they will begin exploring their own musicality and rhythm. Emphasis will be placed on ear training and breath support. More advanced concepts such as harmony are added as students work on specific songs.

Film
This class will explore what it takes to make it in "the business" and the unique acting style of film. Each student will be given a script and will be directed for a commercial and scene performed on camera. Each performance will be reviewed and work-shopped in class to enhance the learning process. Voiceover training for any media will also be taught. Script analysis, film blocking and auditioning techniques are all major components this class.
