Welcome to The Zone, a unique adventure in overnight camping. We’re entering our seventh fabulous season, offering a program, camp grounds and staff that are second to none.

The program: It’s non-stop! Trips, sports, swimming in our beautiful in-ground pool, music, dance, arts and crafts, and Aqua Show, special guests and entertainment, all in a warm, friendly Jewish environment that will make you feel like you’re among family.

The camp-grounds: A real country resort! Air-conditioned rooms, a game room, indoor pool, mini-golf course, all kinds of sports facilities and a beautiful dining hall are all nestled in the rolling hills of a working farm. You can milk the cows, feed the goats, cluck at the chickens and ride the horses, or just enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty.

The staff: You won’t find a more dedicated staff anywhere! Our counselors are chosen because they have experience, enthusiasm and a sincere desire to make our campers happy. Your counselors will become your friends for life – just ask the hundreds of girls and boys from past seasons who know.

Love animals? Our camp is home to a wonderful collection of adorable,furry farm animals including alpacas, camels, rabbits, cows, sheep, goats and donkeys, plus colorful peacocks and plenty of turkeys, chickens and ducks. And they‛re all eager for your special love and care. Milk the cows, cuddle the baby
goats and rabbits and stroke the alpaca‛samazing fur. Riding enthusiasts can learn real horse-back riding techniques, or see the world from atop the hump of one of our camels! Bring your camera to capture this unforgettable experience.

Take the plunge on our New 180-foot water slide, and stay cool with our great program of water sports. There‛s a huge, climate controlled outdoor pool, an indoor pool and professional swimming lessons available. Take a zip-line trip across our sparkling lake, or have fun kayaking, paddle-boating, rowing and bumper boating, with arestful stop-off at our little island gazebo. For the most relaxing break ever, spend some time in our Jacuzzi, topped off by a sauna or steam bath.

Do you have talent just waiting to be discovered?
Learn useful creative skills like crafts, woodworking, music studio techniques, kickboxing, and pioneering. You can even learn to read Hebrew or improve your skills. Everyone can fi nd their way to shine!

Action and adventure are the name of the game on our exciting off-site trips. Our campers enjoy a packed calendar including destinations like Great Adventures, Lake Compounce,
Zoom Flume, Laser Tag, Paintball, a Tigers baseball game, and whitewater rafting Or, let nature be your destination on one of our fabulous overnights, sleeping in our own tee-pee under the stars.

No matter what your sport is, you‛ll fi nd it here. You‛ll feel like a Major Leaguer playing baseball at our brand new Sports Complex, with state-of-the-art 60' high lighting for night games, and a real, professional scoreboard. Practice your shot on one of our fi ve full-size basketball courts, enjoy volleyball, tennis, hockey, soccer – even sumo wrestling! And on top of all that, you‛ll absolutely love our ATVs, laser tag and rock wall climbing.

Expect the unexpected with performances by the top stars in Jewish music. Be amazed by the guitar genius, Piamenta, and the mystical talents of a professional hypnotist. Performers come back year after year to entertain our enthusiastic audiences!

Everyone needs a change of pace – even when you‛re having a great time! So watch out for special programs that are just a little different (and just a little CRAZY), like Water Day,American Day,Campfi res,Carnival and the famous The Zone Staff Play.

When you‛re here, you‛re not just at camp – you‛re on vacation at a beautiful country hotel! Rolling green mountains, fields bright with wildfl owers, clean fresh air and wide-open spaces surround you. And here on the campgrounds, you‛ll fi nd clean, sun-fi lled newly renovated buildings, air-conditioned rooms, amazing playing fi elds, a hotel-style swimming pool and sparkling lake with a brand-new pier. Many people travel miles for such a vacation, but as an Oorah camper, you have it all right at your front door!

A Jewish camp is the ideal place to fi nd out more about your Jewish roots and traditions. If you‛ve never learned the Hebrew alphabet, here‛s your chance. connection. Your Kesher counselor will keep in touch with you all year long, and you‛ll join with your favorite counselors and camp friends for get-togethers and TRIPS throughout the school year.
