Eligibility:
Children ages 7 - 15 with chronic/life-threatening diseases
-Blood diseases: Hemophilia, other bleeding disorders, Aplastic Anemia
-Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and other rheumatologic diagnosis
-Heart, Kidney and Gastro Intestinal Diseases
-Asthma
-Sickle Cell Anemia
-Spina Bifida
-Cancer
-Burn Survivors and Severe Skin Diseases
-Seizure Disorders
-Neurological and Genetic Disorders
-HIV or other Immunological Disorders

Dates:
-First session starts June 5
-Sessions last 5 days (Sunday or Monday through Friday)
-10 sessions this summer

Cost:
-FREE OF CHARGE

Medical Coverage:
-Medical staff includes a full time medical director (pediatrician - subspecialty is hematology / oncology) and 4 staff nurses
-Will also have 1 - 2 physician volunteers who are specialists in the disease group and 4+ volunteer nurses each session
-The Body Shop (infirmary) is a state of the art medical complex
-Functions like a doctor's office / hospital clinic.
-Cares for kids with bug bites, ankle sprains, stomach aches
-Provides care for kids who get chemotherapy, IV infusions, etc
