iD Gaming Academy Courses:

GAME MODELING WITH MAYA® - Updated!
New this season, each student will run Autodesk® Maya® Unlimited. This awesome summer video game camp for teens uses Maya, the professional-grade, industry standard program used by big-name game studios and movie houses. Autodesk tools are used to develop 90% of contemporary video games and provide one of the leading effects packages used in The Lord of the Rings™, Spider-Man®, Star Wars® and other blockbuster films.

GAME PROGRAMMING - New!
Program games and challenge your friends on your Xbox 360®! Deploying the groundbreaking XNA™ framework from Microsoft®, you’ll develop games for delivery on your PC or Xbox 360. Didn’t think you could create games for a gaming console? Think again! XNA is an advanced set of tools that facilitate computer game development and management. XNA attempts to free game designers from writing repetitive code and bring different aspects of game production into a single system. Note: Beginning students will learn to code games in C++ with Microsoft Visual Studio® Express.

LEVEL DESIGN-UNREAL® Engine 3 - New!
Modify Unreal Tournament® 3 with custom maps, storyboards and character treatments. Learn what makes a game addicting and the strategies behind compelling game play as you create your own levels. Take home a copy of Unreal Tournament 3. Dedicated gamers and game developers will be introduced to a variety of tactics and strategies developed by our curriculum and faculty experts.

Additional technology and game development programs are available at over 60 prestigious universities nationwide. These programs include the iD Film Academy, iD Programming Academy and weeklong kids’ camps and teen camps at the flagship iD Tech Camps (America’s #1 Tech Camp).
