Multiple Listing Policy
November 14, 2012 |
I. MULTIPLE CAMPS UNDER A SINGLE LISTING Although our listing structure has been designed to house a single camp location, you are able to assign multiple camps under a single listing; however, location information and other functionality may not be completely accurate as reflected in our database structure and the way in which our search engine operates.
II. MULTIPLE LISTINGS BY A SINGLE ENTITY Conversely, you are able to submit separate Camper Recruitment Listings for distinctly different camps (not programs) if each camp owns and maintains a different fixed and verifiable physical location or set of (accounting) books. Although a single camp might offer multiple programs of significance (which you may even market as individual "camps"), our database system has been designed to group all programs under a single camp listing.
Colleges & universities are able to apply for up to 6 different listings which correspond to distinctly different departments. As such, all listings submitted and/or maintained by the same institution must not have any duplicate program emphasis denoted/checked among any of their six listings. For example only one "Football Camp" and only one "Business Camp" can appear from any given college. This applies to all program emphasis (including "General Program"). Failure to abide by this policy may result in the permanent removal of one or more listings.
A camp which denotes itself as a "Travel Camp" or "Adventure Camp" which has multiple offsite programs can have only one listing.
Similarly, camps which allow campers access to multiple third party offsite facilities can have only a single listing on the Camp Channel. For example, a "golf camp" which rotates the use of various golf courses is considered the same camp and is only allowed a single listing to denote all of it's various programming options at various golf courses.
Multiple listings are prohibited from explicitly denoting (within the camp state and city fields) the specific locations of other active listings. In other words, you are welcome to mention the existence of other camp locations (by name) within your listing's descriptive text, but it is prohibited to add a redundant location to any listing which causes our system to index and display multiple listings of duplicate content for the same city or state.
If you are going to submit multiple listings, it is necessary to complete the registration process individually for each additional listing so as each camp has it's own unique "camp profile".
There is currently a limit of 12 listings (recently increased from 6) per state per organization for all new listings which adhere to our multiple listing policy.
Listing applications which abide by our multiple listing policy will be reviewed and considered first. Multiple listing submissions which violate our policy may result in disqualification for inclusion on the Camp Channel.
