Troubadour Theatre Summer Camps

In summer 2011, we are offering three separate camps: Musical Theatre Camp, Comedy Theatre Camp, and Rock, Roll, Repeat!: A Rock 'n' Roll Music Camp.

Rock, Roll, Repeat!:
Ages 13-17
July 5-15, Tues-Fri, Mon-Fri 9:00AM-12:00PM Two weeks, half day camp

Rock 'n' Roll Music camp, which culminates in a performance of the rock band. This camp required previous one years worth of experience in preferred rock instrument.
Theatre camps: Covers the entire theatrical experience from acting, directing, and playwriting, to theatrical design including costumes, lighting, scenic, and sound design. The musical theatre camp also includes singing and dancing.
The theatre camps will end with a performance of a fully mounted summer stock production of a musical/play for family and friends. All the students in the camp will be given roles in the musical/play. Students will get to help design and build the set and costumes for the play.
No prior experience is required to register for either the Musical Theatre camp or the Comedy Theatre camp.
Theatre Camps Apprenticeship Program: For students ages 13-17 interested in areas of theatre other than acting. Positions available: assistant director, asst. stage manager, asst. costume designer, asst. set designer. Students are also invited to act in the play/musical if they are interested.
Rock, Roll, Repeat!: A rock 'n' roll music camp for aspiring musicians and singers. One year of previous experience playing a rock instrument is required. Instruments will be available at camp. The camp will be taught be local professional musicians and music teachers.
Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided daily, but students are asked to bring their own lunch or buy from our box lunch program for full day camps, except for Fridays when there will be a pizza party.

*Early drop off and late pick is available if you register with La Paloma Academy's traditional summer camp. This is not affiliated with the Troubadour Theatre, but is it at the same site. On the last day of camp, parents should drop their students off at the performance site, and will not need to pick them up at 3:30 that day, they should plan on coming at the performance time to watch the play/concert.

Ashbrook Farm is offering both Day and Overnight camp sessions where children can learn to ride horses and take part in various other activities including games, arts and crafts, and equine education.

Our summer program, run by a professional hunter/jumper trainer and k-8 certified teacher, features both day camp and overnight camp options. In both of these programs kids will receive daily English riding lessons, various fun and engaging activities, and general equine educational activities. Our activities include arts and crafts, games, sports, veterinary lessons, equine science lessons, friendship building activities, and so much more. With our low (max. 4 – 1) child-adult ratio, all attendees will receive top quality instruction to their individual needs. Rocks and Ropes climbing camps are the most exciting and educational week that you will spend all summer. Make new friends, learn new skills, have fun.

Rocks and Ropes climbing camps offer a unique experience in exercise that fosters both teamwork, individuality and a safe, directed interest in a sport that lasts for years. We offer three courses that are a comprehensive introduction to climbing, including ropework, technique, equipment care and responsibility for oneself and others. Two of the courses include climbing on Mt. Lemmon with certified climbing guides.

Student must wear long pants & closed toes shoes. Students under 18 must wear an approved equestrian helmet- We do provide helmets. Students should bring a large water bottle each day.
