Join Filmmakers Ink's team of Award-winning filmmakers and artists and make magic! Filmmakers Ink, under the leadership of award-winning filmmaker, Patrick McCullough, has set itself apart from other film programs through the depth of knowledge and achievement in our staff, who’ve produced Sundance Grand Jury Prize-Winning films, and smaller award-winning independent films, like Beautiful Kid featuring Pulitzer Prize-Winning author, Frank McCourt, which Variety called, a film with "astonishing integrity." The staff includes Patrick McCullough, Writer, Director, Actor and Producer, who just finished shooting his third feature film, Loop, and also a finalist in the Sundance Film Festival Screenwriting Program, and Chosei Funahara, mentored by Akira Kurosawa (the renowned Japanese filmmaker, director of films such as Ran and The Seven Samurai). Chosei has made over 60 films and has won an MTV award for Best American Video. Filmmakers Ink offers programs in Filmmaking, Acting, Editing, Screenwriting and Special Effects for Ages 8 to 16, in Darien, Westport, Stamford, Wilton, Fairfield, Farmington, Litchfield and Amherst MA. Filmmakers Ink provides intensive creative instruction in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We will be building confidence in our young filmmakers by teaching teamwork with daily success, giving each a strong foundation in collaboration, imagination, creativity and storytelling. Join the Filmmakers Ink staff as they team up with CreativeArt Ink for a full day Arts experience created especially for your young artist. Have the opportunity to train with working artists, writers, filmmakers, dancers and actors. Spend the day making movies with award-winning filmmakers; create animation and sketch with professional artists; write a short story or poem with a PULITZER PRIZE nominee; improvise with actors currently working Off- Broadway; explore movement and physical theater with a choreographer direct from the 92nd Street Y. Combine that with fresh air and an outdoor activity each day and your child will have a unique and impactful summer experience!
