Social skills day camp for children with special needs
Circle of Friends Social Group provides social skills instruction designed for children who have difficulty understanding social cues and developing friendships. Our group is dedicated to teaching the social skills needed to blend in with the community, as well as teaching skills needed to form relationships with others. Programs are established for preschool through high school students and incorporate typically developing peers when available. Groups will be formed based on age and skill level.
Circle of Friends Social Group incorporates a multidisciplinary approach to teaching social skills. Each group session includes: structured lessons, social games, video modeling, role playing and parent training. To help promote generalization, each student is provided with group lessons and DVDs demonstrating the skill.
Arts Camps by ARTS of Cobb
Activities are based on the listed theme for each week, such as art with cats and the music of Cats for Week 1.
We provide excellent care & teaching in a relaxed, clean setting, a snack, & a bottle of water for each camper. We usually have less than 10 kids in each age group with a teacher and assistant, and if groups are combined they will be split within the room by seating and taught to their level. Activities are based on the listed theme for each week, such as art with cats and the music of Cats for Week 1. Miss LaLa will teach most other classes with teenage assistants or additional teachers if needed (depending on number of campers).
Camp each week consists of Magic, Art Projects, Pottery, and other activities during the morning, a fun excursion to the Marietta Square during lunchtime, then Musical Theater preparation for a show on Fridays at 5:30pm based on the theme of the week.
Campers bring lunch w/ NO peanuts or peanut butter products. They should wear shows that are easy to get on and off...prefer no tennis shoes w/ socks. Camper families may donate fun snacks or juices to share with friends.
Jessica Williams, an award-winning model/drama teacher/comedian will give students amazing lessons while having a blast learning during her three Modeling Camps during weeks 3, 6, and 7. During Week 3, William Alexander has a Magic Camp.

MODELING CAMP w/ JESSICA WILLIAMS! It's an adventure!
6:00-8:00pm M-F of Wk 3, 6, & 7 $150/wk ($50 deposit)
Mostly Runway modeling on our stage transformed into a catwalk! Some print modeling training as well. Super fun teacher holds honors in modeling, acting, & teaching drama. There are specially designed clothes for the modeling/fashion show. Show is on Sat. at 7:00pm & the person who sells the most tickets to the show will receive a free photo shoot! All students will have the option to buy photos taken during camp.
MAGIC CAMP w/ WILLIAM ALEXANDER (MAGIC) $99
June 24-27 M-Th 9:30-11:30 (ages 6-9yrs) or 12:30-3:30pm (ages 10yrs & up)
Come learn several tricks with a fun professional. Each student will get supplies to keep after camp to continue their illusions. There is a Student Magic Show on the last day of camp for families to enjoy & maybe even be a part of! Students will also learn how magic uses math, science, and theatrical affects, so even if they want to become a magician they will still need many of the things they learn in school. Engineers design many of magicians' tricks!
Camp Active at Inneractions Therapy
We are a therapeutic camp focused on developing social skills and peer interactions.
For ages 4-15
Using ACTIVE therapeutic techniques through the use of art, games, activities, teamwork challenges and discussions to develop social skills and create positive interactions
3 hours per day 9:00-12:00pm or 1:00-4:00pm, Monday-Friday for 2 weeks
SESSION 1 - June 3rd - June 14th
SESSION 2 - June 17th - June 28th
SESSION 3 - July 8th - July 19th
SESSION 4 - July 22nd - August 2nd
Specific groups are formed by pairing children of similar ages with similar therapeutic goals. Not all ages are available for each session. Please call for more details. Evaluation is required for new clients.

NIKE Boys Basketball Camp-Marietta
June 24-28, 2013
The 4th annual NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Marietta High School in Marietta, GA will run June 24-28, 2013 and will be directed by Michelle Manfredi as well as Marietta Head Varsity Boys Coach Matt Lyons.
This camp will focus on individual skill improvement with our morning skill stations and afternoon 3 on 3 league. Each camper will also play in one 5 on 5 game and participate in our Living by Numbers contests each day. This camp is a perfect way to prepare for your school, church, rec or AAU season. All NIKE basketball camps maintain a player to coach ratio of 8:1 and are staffed by high school and collegiate coaches as well as collegiate players. Elite Hoops will be directing a total of 14 NIKE Basketball Camps in Georgia this summer. For a complete list, click HERE.
This camp is limited to the first 96 boys that register and is for ages 9-15 (entering grades 4th-9th). The camp fee is $260 per player.

Imagine a day camp that is designed to offer children a choice of many different science themes. Themes which include experiments and projects in Video Game Creation, Robotics, Veterinary Medicine, Crime Scene Investigation, Culinary Science, Paleontology, Engineering, Space, Biology, Chemistry, Oceanography, LEGO Robotics, and much more.
Now imagine that the day camp really exists and for 15 years has been providing an opportunity for young people to see how science works in the real world.
At Club Scientific, we believe that every child is a scientist. Our vision is to make them better scientists by offering 28 unique science day camps. Our camps inspire interest in science and nature by involving children in the creation of a multitude of take-away projects in each camp.
Our goal is for kids to have fun and get excited about science. Club Scientifics' summer day camps rely on the expertise of visiting professionals. For example, campers will meet and learn from actual veterinarians, crime scene investigators, and local law enforcement officials in Camps CSI, RN, and Emergency Vet.
The camp day is divided into four major time slots which includes two extended sessions of science projects and experiments. The third session is an outdoor component which involves skill building and teamwork. The fourth major component is comprised of alternating science, craft, skill building, and outdoor recreational activities. Club Scientific tries to strike a balance between academic, social, and recreational pursuits.
Our camps specialize in hands-on, minds-on activities for children ages 4-14.

Atlanta Hawks Basketball Camp--All-Tournament Players Park (Marietta)

The Atlanta Hawks provide the ultimate summer basketball camp experience for the youth of Georgia. All participants receive professional instruction from qualified coaches in a fun environment. Atlanta Hawks basketball camps offer players of ALL skill levels the opportunity of a lifetime to learn from the pros. Campers are taught key basketball skills and are exposed to the newest, cutting edge training tactics used by NBA athletes. An Atlanta Hawks player development manual and camp progress report is provided to each camp attendee. Our goal is to assist our campers with their basketball development year round.
GOOD Acting Summer Camp
Campers will enjoy focusing on acting technique, fundamentals of scene work, improv, games and more. Performing Arts Camp activities: Acting exercises, music, and dance. A performance will conclude the camp session.
