With 1300 gardens and small urban farms Detroit has become a hub of Urban Agriculture. As Detroit struggles to downsize and re-create itself Detroiters have responded by creating new spaces and new land uses. In the process Detroiters have learned a lot about Urban Sustainability. Spend 10 Days in Detroit learning about Urban Sustainability, Urban Farming, tour America's largest outdoor farmers market, small community farmers' markets, tour large outdoor art installations, art galleries, community based businesses all while learning valuable skills in Permaculture, Urban Sustainability, Guerrilla Gardening, Bio-remediation, Beneficial Indigenous Microbes that help gardens grow bigger, CSA's, Cob Building, Water Catchment Systems, Natural Plasters, Composting, and more. Attendees will work along side of Detroiters working to improve Food Security Issues, improve the overall landscape of Detroit as we work towards turning Detroit from a Rust Belt into a Green Belt city.

2. Detroit Lions Youth Football Camps - Non-contact fundamental football camps designed to improve a participant's beginning, intermediate, or advanced skill level.

2010 Detroit Lions Youth Football Camp Locations include: Ann Arbor-June 12-13, Brighton-June 14-17, Lansing-June 19-20, Beverly Hills-June 19-20, Detroit-June 21-24, Grand Blanc-June 21-24, Newberry- June 26-27, Traverse City-June 28-July 1, Plymouth-July 5-8, Battle Creek, July 10-11, Chesterfield-July 12-15, Jenison-July 12-15, Grand Rapids-July 17-18, Whitehall-July 17-18, Lake Orion-July 26-29, Okemos-July 30-31, Windsor, Ontario-July 31-August 1, Detroit-August 2-3, and Detroit-August 4-5. Camp includes a Lions Camp T-shirt, a guest appearance from a current or former Lions player, chalk talk & video sessions, skills contests and scrimmages.
