The Robodyssey Summer Camp provides a stimulating combination of class challenges, robot mechanics, and guided tutorials to introduce young adults to computer science and robotics
Day Camp - Coed - Ewing, New-Jersey
The Robodyssey Summer Camp Program provides a stimulating combination of class challenges, robot mechanics, and entertaining guided tutorials to introduce children and young adults to the endless possibilities of computer science and robotics. The Robodyssey Summer Camp Program is a one-week program that runs weekdays from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM Monday through Friday, from June 27 through August 26. Open to students fifth grade and up.
Program Features:
Robots and Hardware are provided - Nothing additional to buy.
Computers, software and classroom materials are provided.
Program Staffed by Experienced Instructors.
Students use "Real” university grade, Autonomous, Programmable Robots.
Students learn at their own pace with our “Self-Guided Software Tutorial”.
Students learn real world programming skills in Microsoft Visual Basic
Activities:
Robot Assembly An introduction to robot mechanics and motion
Software Operation Learn the basics of a compiler and its operation
Motion Control Use Loops to control motion
Complex Motion Learn all about subroutines
Analog to Digital Learn how to convert analog data to digital.
Obstacle Avoidance Use real world data to make computer decisions
Fear of Heights Teach your robot how to protect itself
Turret Construction Give your robot eyes that move
Blind Bot’s Bluff A maze challenge: program robot to navigate a minefield of robot swallowing holes.
Desktop Challenge I Explore and navigate obstacles on a desktop.
Desktop Challenge II Same as Challenge I but with eyes that can look around.
Last Bot Standing Be the last Robot remaining on platform
Daily Demonstrations Walking, Talking, Emotional, robots
Program Walking Robots Program a six-legged walking robot!
Introduction to Electronics Breadboard electronic circuits and integrate with robotic controller

Robotics Summer Camp at The College of New Jersey

Fundamentals and Advanced Robotics Camp sessions at The College of New Jersey. Campers have a competition and win awards at the end of each session. Campers can sign up for one or both sessions.
Resident Camp - Coed - Ewing, New-Jersey
High School freshmen, sophomores and juniors are invited to apply for an intensive 1 week or 2 weeks summer Robotics Camp offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), and sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and GameX.
The intent of the camp is to motivate the most creative minds of a new generation of prospective Electrical and Computer Engineers to become global leaders in an increasingly technological world. The program aims to create a community of students who participate in and contribute to an intensive and powerful academic experience delivered by distinguished educators and professionals.
Camp participants will be introduced through a residential College academic experience to the exciting field of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and will learn topics not traditionally taught in High Schools such as Microcontroller Programming, Sensing Systems, Digital Electronics, Computer Vision, Virtual Simulations and more.
The participant will work with Electrical and Computer Engineering students and professors, and interact with professional engineers from the Industry.
TCNJ offers a superior learning environment, and these experiences take place in specialized laboratories.
