Every minute at Camp Ockanickon is full of excitement, interaction with friends and challenging activities. Our overnight camp provides all the elements of a traditional camp experience with a focus on the individual growth and development of skills and talents unique to boys.
“Ocky” boys may spend their days swimming and boating on Lake Stockwell, enjoying a game of basketball with their new friends, improving their aim on our archery or air riflery ranges or learning about plants and animals in our Earth Education program. They might also choose to write for the camp newspaper, learn how to play rugby or go fishing for bass in the lake. And our High and Low Challenge Courses and Climbing/Rappelling wall are the ultimate experiences for boys to build self-esteem and leadership and communication skills.
Evening activities and dances are scheduled to allow an opportunity for supervised co-ed social time, and each day ends with a time for campers to share about their day and continue building lifelong friends.
Our counselors arrive at camp from all corners of the globe and are strong AND compassionate, confident AND caring. They oversee a cabin of six to seven boys of the same age and provide each boy with a safe and fun environment.
From our youngest campers who we help along the path to developing habits for good choices in life to our oldest campers in the LIT and CIT programs for who we provide leadership opportunities, at Ocky we deliver a consistent, quality experience to each and every camper!

Living in a beautiful outdoor setting, Matolly girls are given the opportunity to explore their personal limits, build up their self-esteem and discover a sense of independence in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.
Each day brings opportunities to get involved with many camp activities. Girls can participate in sports like archery, tennis and basketball, and then cool off enjoying many of our aquatics programs, including swimming, giant slide, canoeing and kayaking. Exploring creative arts like drama, music or ceramics is another popular way to spend an afternoon. Our Outdoor program includes nature hikes, learning about plants and animals and campfire building to name just a few of the activities. Your child can even take horseback riding lessons! Evening activities are a way for the whole camp to get together and every night ends with a “cabin chat”, a time to reflect on the day and strengthen new friendships.
Our counselors provide friendship, guidance and great examples of positive living. They care for girls in a cabin of six or seven teaching girls to embrace diversity and promoting positive self-esteem and healthy development.
Whether your child is 7 and we can help build her confidence to try new things or she is 16 and we can help lay the foundation of a lifetime of terrific decisions, at Matolly each camper is afforded numerous ways to challenge herself and grow. She will always treasure her camp experience, new friends and the many happy memories she will keep forever.

Camp is special.
Camp is really special because of the friends you make. You'll get a chance to meet kids your age, like the other campers in your cabin. Lots of campers look forward to seeing each other summer after summer as well as meeting new campers.
