Choosing a summer performing arts program for your child is a very personal decision and involves the collaboration of parent and child together. We have included the following information to help you better understand our program.
Shea's Performing Arts Center presents CAMP BROADWAY. All camp activities take place at Shea's Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, NY.
CAMP BROADWAY is a theater arts education and audience development company based in New York City. CAMP BROADWAY is committed to making the performing arts accessible to children and teens by connecting theater professionals with young artists in original and creative ways. Our five-day performing arts program is the highlight of our year when theatre-loving kids are introduced to all aspects of Broadway in a professional, interactive, theatrical environment.
CAMP BROADWAY's summer program includes instruction in voice, acting, dance, movement and solo and ensemble singing while learning and rehearsing dialogue, musical numbers and dance routines for a featured Broadway musical of the week. It also includes our own Gypsy Showcase, which requires our campers to work together as a team to create an original theatrical piece that showcases both their inventiveness and individual talents. The week program culminates in the Family Finale, a final presentation for family and friends.
As is our tradition, the program will be filled with special surprises including a backstage tour of Shea's Performing Arts Center. Your child also receives an "official" T-shirt and a Broadway gift bag fit for a star.
Tuition for Camp Broadway is $550. An initial deposit of $275.00 is required with registration. The final balance is due before the start date of the camp. Scholarships are available.
