Since 1973, Wilderness Ventures has been conducting exciting expeditions for beginners and experienced young adults, ages 11 through 20. Expeditions visit a variety of wilderness environments in the Western United States, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Europe, Australia, Central & South America, and the South Pacific for extended periods. Students learn outdoor and group leadership skills as well as gain an appreciation for various wilderness environments. Activities include backpacking, whitewater rafting & kayaking, mountaineering, biking, sailing, SCUBA, canoeing, sea kayaking, and community service. Participants come from nearly every state and several countries. Enrollment is limited, and applicants must submit school references prior to admission. Previous wilderness experience is not necessary.

Since 1999 over 130,000 students worldwide have immersed in hands-on learning to create iPhone apps, programs with C++ and Java, video games, websites, movies, 3D models, ad designs, robots, films, and photos. Beginner to advanced students ages 7-17 enroll in these fun and challenging, weeklong, day and overnight summer camps held at 60 prestigious universities nationwide (see below).
Small class sizes (max 8:1) are guaranteed and taught by adult-only instructors, with Teens, pre-Teens, and younger students separated into different classes. What can be better than spending two full weeks with other Teens who enjoy programming as much as you do, and with staff who have the real-world programming expertise to make your projects come to life. A 2-week, pre-college overnight program for Teens, held at prestigious universities nationwide (see below). iD Programming Academy guarantees small class sizes (max 8:1) taught by top-tier instructors who have degrees in the field and impressive backgrounds in programming, computer science, robotics, and application development. 1 Week Acting & Scene Study Camp Intensive, 4 hour daily sessions for Ages 11-16. Offered in Charlotte and Hickory locations.

1 WEEK CAMP INTENSIVE-5 DAY, 4 hours per day, July 26-29 in Charlotte, Aug. 1-5 in Hickory.
10:30A.M.-Noon--Relaxation and Sense Memory Exercises,Theatre Games, Voice Projection, Movement, Improvisation
Noon-12:30P.M.--Bag Lunch
12:30P.M.-2:30P.M.-- In-Depth Scene Study. The teachings of Stanislavski, Adler, Meisner and Katselas will be explained and explored. Learn though scene critique how to create realism in performance including using personalization, substitution, creating a place, intent, creative hiding and physical action. One afternoon will be devoted to "on-camera" cold reading and the audition process.
Friday, 2:00P.M -3:00P.M.--Scene performance. Parents are invited.
The curriculum taught in this camp is for the serious acting student who wants to gain a foundation in the arts and pursue a career in acting.
About: Linda Ann Watt -- acting instructor, director, member of Screen Actors Guild and owner of Corlin Productions, a union signatory production house in Los Angeles and Charlotte, which produces film, television, commercials and documentaries. Through Corlin Productions, Watt produced The Method based on Stanislavski and Strasberg, written by Lorrie Hull, Ph.D., with Cloris Leachman, Martin Landau and Shelley Winters. The material contained in the educational DVD was the only teaching tool approved by Lee Strasberg.
Watt attended New York Academy of Theatrical Arts (under scholarship), American Theatre of Actors (ATA) and Stella Adler Conservatory. She later studied extensively with Milton Katselas (director Butterflies are Free, broadway/movie) and with Lorrie Hull, Ph.D., master teacher for Lee Stasberg. She found Hull's work so inspiring, she produced "The Method" educational teaching tools. Watt has taught an Enrichment Arts Program through UCPS and Wingate University and she was invited by Blumenthal Performing Arts Center's Educational Department to teach her educational program, Spring 2011. Watt received A GAP grant through the UCCAC and the NC Arts Council, two consecutive years to teach the Enrichment Arts Program through Union County, NC public schools.

Jonathan Stewart Football Camp – June 16-19 - Join Carolina Panther and members of the Carolina Panthers for one of the best football weeks of your life. This will be the 16th amazing year for this camp. Performance Magazine rated Sports International's football camps among the top ten summer camps in the nation! This summer will be the 28th successful year for Sports International’s football camps having graduated over 88,000 athletes with many going on to play in the NFL and at the highest college level. Carolina Panthers that have attended this camp include Jimmy Clausen, Steve Smith, Muhsin Muhammad, Brad Hoover, Tony Fiammetta, Travelle Wharton, Jake Delhomme, Jeff King, Chris Gamble, Richard Marshall, Ryan Kalil, Matt Moore, James Anderson, Jonathan Stewart and many more.
Joe Krivak Quarterback & Receiver Camp - July 8-10 - Over 50 of his former players have played or are active in the NFL. Over Joe's storied history, he has coached on 6 ACC Championship teams and in 14 bowl games. Boomer Esiason, one of his former QB’s was named to four Pro Bowl’s and received the NFL’s Most Valuable Player Award in 1988. Boomer said of, Coach Krivak, “He has an extraordinary ability to convey his knowledge about the fundamentals of quarterbacking. More importantly, he has a unique talent to teach a young quarterback to read defenses. If it were not for Joe Krivak, I would have never been an NFL Quarterback.'
John Kasey Kicking & Punting Camp - June 16 - John Kasey has 20 years of NFL experience and he will share everything he knows with you at camp. All-Pro John Kasay holds virtually every Panther kicking record, and is also the all-time points leader of the Panthers, a record which is unlikely to be eclipsed anytime soon. He also holds many NFL records as a placekicker. He will have an outstanding staff as instructors at his camp including: Dan Orner, Former Kicker, University of North Carolina; Brandon Lane, Former Punter & Kicker, Elon University; Lee Woodson, Former Punter, North Carolina A&T University; and Jesse Scott II, Kicker, Carolina Cougars.
High school players aged 15-18 are eligible for the exclusive “GRIDIRON CLUB”. A detailed information packet on each member of the "GRIDIRON CLUB" will be sent to over 1,500 college football coaches to help each player receive recognition at the college level. Limited Enrollment in both camps!

School of Rock Performance Camps are an ideal program for students who want to play in a band and gain professional experiences in the music industry. Camps end with a a LIVE rock concert for friends and family!

Students spend two full weeks working in a hands-on atmosphere learning band fundamentals, performance techniques, and have one on one instruction. Each two week session culminates in a LIVE performance for friends and family. This is a great way to experience a condensed version of the the Paul Green School of Rock Music!

This year Summer Camp will feature a musical summer production entitled:“CRAZY DAYZ.”
In this production students will form with a group of musicians on their level, to create a professional performance of songs that incorporate the word “Crazy” in their titles! Final performance will premier at a major venue where students can invite family and friends to cheer them on in their performance! All camps will meet from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, drop off times will begin at 7:30 AM and pick up times will end at 6:30 PM. Weekly Themes present a new genre of music to students to study and learn to play these styles. Each weekly theme will feature a style of music that will be incorporated into the final show. Daily students participate in vocal lessons, Instrumental lessons and stage choreography which all work together and form the Production. Auditions begin June 13th – June 17th
