This week long summer camp is a great opportunity for students to engage and interact with their peers, utilize critical thinking skills and have fun while working as part of a team and making new friends with students from different schools.
If you have a budding and curious entrepreneur at home, this is the camp for your child!

Throughout the week, students are led by Education in Action staff in a fun, stress-free environment as they learn the steps involved in starting a business plan.

Your child will be teamed up with peers and tasked with identifying a need followed by developing a product or service that will serve that need. Once established, each team must make important business decisions such as product pricing, logos and advertising that will make their businesses competitive.

Community volunteers from local companies such as Hasbro, United Way and The Rhode Island Credit Union will also be invited to work with and mentor your child as they develop their businesses.

At the end of the week, students will have the opportunity to make a professional PowerPoint presentation on their business plans. This presentation will be made to a group of investors and bankers who will offer their feedback and suggestions.
Not only will your child benefit from the advice of these business professionals, it will be a unique opportunity for them to gain public speaking experience.
