Dramatic Explorers
Ages 5-7

Students will learn the fundamentals of dramatic play as they produce a short musical based on an international folktale. This is a perfect program for children who are excited about performing, and are looking for an active setting to make new friends and have a ton of fun.
Dramatic Prodigies

Whether your student is looking for a rigorous acting class, or just a unique and unforgettable summer camp experience, this program has something for everyone!
Dramatic Protegees
Ages 11-14

Students will explore the fundamentals of dramatic performances at a slightly more advanced level, as well as specialize in two of our exciting elective classes: Shakespeare, Musical Theatre, Improvisational Acting, and Action Movie Making. Students will learn valuable skills as they work together to create memorable performance pieces on the DHT stage.
8-14 YEARS, MORNING ELECTIVE:
Shakespeare. Students will learn how to analyze and perform classical and verse texts, while working towards a classic Shakespeare production.
Improvisation. Students will learn spontaneity, creativity, teamwork, and the skills needed for improvisational acting. The class will include short form improv, long form improv, musical improv, and improvising on camera.
AFTERNOON ELECTIVE:
Musical Theatre. Students will learn vocal technique and dance skills as they prepare a dramatic musical performance.
Action Movie Making. This exciting program will combine stage combat choreography with the
film making process. Students will learn basic fight choreography skills, and then apply them to the scripting, filming, and editing of their own short action movies.
