“It was awesome! The camaraderie, the night dives, the food, the dance, wake boarding, even composting! He keeps saying I want to go back now.”
Campers live in cabins of up to 10 campers with 2 or 3 counselors. The cabin is where new and old friends come together to create memories. Bathrooms and hot showers are adjacent to Boys Camp and Girls Camp. We eat meals together in the outdoor dining area. Campers tell us that the food is great!
“My daughter had a great time. She hopes to go back next year and has talked about wanting to be a counselor.”
Our counselors are carefully selected, trained and supervised to be exceptional role models for your camper. The camp staff brings energy, fun and friendship to every camper, every day.
“The counselors are skilled at finding kids comfort zones, then encouraging them beyond self-imposed limits to build confidence and teach life skills. I saw this first hand on parents' day. Patience by the counselors was AMAZING.”
Experienced leaders supervise counselors. The Leadership Team has years of experience and receives additional training to coach staff and lead program. Camp Directors, Tom and Maria Horner have directed camps for over 20 years.
“I am just so grateful that I can send my kids and know that they are in such good hands.”
Safety is the top priority at camp. We are accredited by the American Camp Association. Counselors are first aid and CPR trained. Waterfront instructors are American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguards. Every camp session is supported by a professional medical staff of camp nurses and a doctor to treat injuries and illnesses and dispense medication. Our nurses are available at the boat terminal to meet parents.
“It was the first time he attended the camp and he had wonderful time. He got more independent, responsible and self-confident.”
