Coppercreek Camp...A Place for Big Adventures. Coppercreek is located in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Northeastern California. We offer Free Choice of over 50 Traditional Camp Activities, including a HUGE equestrian program (English and Western riding, jumping, miniature horse driving and vaulting in 3 arenas), Kayaking, Rock Climbing, Wakeboarding, Water Skiing and Mountain Biking. Also, drama, arts and crafts, dance, canoeing, fishing, backpacking, day hikes, swimming pool, golf, sports, and nature. Counselor in Training program offered for older teens. CITs can choose to intern as a general counselor or as a Junior Instructor working closely with program staff and gaining marketable skills. TREK programs also offered for teens. TREK focuses on building leadership and group living skills in several High Adventure Trips! Trips may include Caving, Rock Climbing, Kayaking, Backpacking and/or White Water Rafting. One Week Horsemastership program available in both June and August. Campers in Horsemastership program can expect 2 mounted group lessons each day as well as unmounted lessons, vaulting, and more. 3 to 1 camper to staff ratio. Average age of program staff is 24!
