Science, adventure, and fun collide in a traditional camp setting, as campers experience hands-on education and build lifelong connections with friends. Every regular 6-day camp session includes a backpacking overnight, challenge hike adventure, team-building activities, and time-honored songs by the campfire. We incorporate lessons and activities focused around educational themes such as astronomy, local history and wildlife biology. During registration, Discovery Campers can choose one of two adventure options (e.g. whitewater rafting, climbing, horseback riding) for their chosen session. Options vary by session theme and availability. *additional lodging option campers can stay in one of our authentic canvas tents for an even more rustic camp experience.

COUNSELOR ASSISTANT PROGRAM (CAP, Ages 15 - 17)
The Counselor Assistant Program offers teens the opportunity to serve as role models, develop as leaders, and make a difference in the lives of others. ‘CAPs’ take part in all aspects of the Discovery and Day Camp programs. They assist with activity implementation, organizing campers, and participating in special leadership workshops tailored just for them.
DAY CAMP (Ages 5 - 11)
Each week, we feature a different theme that speaks to the minds and imaginations of young campers. At KSS, your child can transform into a pirate, superhero, astronaut, or botanist—complete with costumes, hands-on educational opportunities and outdoor adventures. Our day goes from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and we incorporate creative activities, teambuilding, and investigative learning into each day.
Upon registration, campers are enrolled in an age- and grade-specific Trail Group featuring activities and adventures suitable for their specific developmental stage. Day Campers can attend by the day, week or all summer long. During registration, Day Campers can choose one of two adventure options for their chosen session (options vary by session theme and availability).

KEYSTONE MOUNTAIN ADVENTURES (KMA, Ages 12 - 18)
These longer, expedition-based sessions offer teens non-stop action and outdoor adventure. Exploration, hands-on education, and leadership development come together for a once-in-a lifetime journey through the Rocky Mountains. Sessions range from six to an extended thirteen-day adventure. Participants will explore high-altitude Colorado by land, water, rope and rock. Teambuilding activities and low-impact wilderness travel principles are incorporated as we backpack through mountain landscapes, camp along the edge of wild rivers, and safely scale dramatic rock faces.
